To all 5 of my readers, I apologize for the delay in getting my updates up.
Day 5
Hershey park is AWSOME! It is a great place for kids and adults alike…blah blah blah. Its a theme park, its fun and the kid loved it. I am not a theme park reviewer…just a lover.
Day 6
Had a character breakfast. Now, being a Florida boy, I know theme park characters. I can understand a breakfast with the Mouse (corporate symbol) and the pirates. But seriously…a hershey bar as a character? Well, the kid got a kick out of it, and I got some chocolate butter for my pancakes. Followed up breakfast by hitting the road for home
Day 7
More driving. Made it home!
NOW BACK TO SOMETHING MORE ENTERTAINING!

Day 4 was a nice relaxing day after about a 3 1/2 hour drive from the reunion. Our room was not quite ready so we walked down and played some shuffle board - Nate is surprisingly talented. After our shuffle board time we walked down a path to the Hershey Butterfly Gardens and got some great and terrible pictures. It was here I came to
terms with the fact that I need to bury the old powershot…it’s shot. I have an old SLR Rebel which I love, but when digital came about it took a back seat to the convenience. I think it is time to upgrade.
FYI. These posts are a day behind because I’m lazy.

Ok. First off, the town we were supposed to go to was Swissville…I think. It doesn’t matter anyway because we d
id not even make it that far. The waitress at the place we had breakfast told us about Idlewild (voted the second best kids park in the country) - only 20 miles dow the road from our hotel. Of course theme park wins ut any day for a kid…and child like parents too. So Day 3 was a blast and we finished off the evening with the reunion dinner. Nate and I snuck out around 8:30-9:00 and crashed on the pullout couch watching Shark Tale.

Well we made it! Had an interesting dinner last night at a place called Mr. P’s. An Italian restaurant with pretty good homemade gnochhi (sp?), but sauce from a jar LOL. It also had one of the most racist jokes on the menu i have seen in a long time…and I’m from the south. All in all things went well and got to meet some nice people. We are going to Springfield today; my father in laws birth town

Ok, the trip to PA for the family reunion…and of course Hershey Park (I go to join my fellow chocoholics in Nirvana)… begins today! I will be updating from the road, so some of the formatting may get a little wonky. For those of you who can, keep an eye on loopt for my updates, as well as flickr.
